800 MHz User Group Public Safety Radio System

Tower

The 800 MHz User Group Public Safety Radio System is comprised of all the users of the system.  This page will post information that is useful and sometimes critical for user action and information.  Brevard County is going through a rebanding project and various updates to the schedules will be posted here for your convenience. Additionally we will provide information on the status of the system and future improvements as they are known and funding becomes available.

If you are having maintenance problem with the system we have also designed a form for your use.  Our intent is to make sure we are aware of your problems, our contractor is aware, and we are taking a coordinated approach toward solving the problem.

Questions about the System can be addressed to Lisa Morgan or Eric Conklin.

REBANDING ISSUES:

REMEMBER TO USE THE CSD Inventory Change Forms for 800 MHZ Rebanding Project.

IMPORTANT HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE APRIL MEETING:

  • The "first touch" phase of the Brevard Rebanding Project is done. Agencies who may have some radio equipment that is eligible and was not reprogrammed recently should contact Spencer Robbins at CII via his cell 772-321-4123 ASAP.
  • VERY IMPORTANT - User agencies are reminded to mail in to M/A COM or go on line and complete the warranty info for all the new radio equipment as you receive it in order to activate your M/A COM warranties.  The Brevard 800 MHz Radio Admin Group has been made aware of issues with the M/A COM on-line warranty registration process.  We have been in touch with the TYCO (M/A COM) Warranty Admin staff and are awaiting their "fix" to the problems of error messages. If you need further assistance, please contact us at the BCEM at either 637-6670, 637-3810 or 637-3811.
  •  Agencies are reminded to use the CSD Change Form found on this website to send into the 800 MHz Radio Group Admin all the changes to your database records in the CSD.  Neither CII nor the Rebanding Techs are automatically providing that info, so each agency must provide it.
  • IN THE NEAR FUTURE
    • Watch for email announcements regarding the mobile equipment swap out locations/dates and times.
    • Watch for email announcements regarding the 'second touch' phase of rebanding when all those radios that had reprogramming done recently will need to be seen again by the CII Rebanding team.
